- Step 1 - Identify and Enter. Through an automated process, Data Checker identifies new and changed listings, and then validates these listings against public records and the defined rules.
- Step 2 - Review and Notify. Data inaccuracies and rule violations are flagged and brought to your attention. Other reported violations can be entered manually. Emails are sent to the listing agent or broker of the violation, including any information regarding grace periods and potential penalties.
- Step 3 - Follow-up and Fine. The program monitors that status of each listing and tracks all changes in a revision log for easy review and approval by the system administrator. No fines or suspensions result if corrections are made during the grace period. For noncompliant listing agents and brokers, fines are transmitted to the membership management system for delivery by invoice. Repeat offenders can be automatically identified and fined immediately.
